Ease into a New Year with Heirloom Tomato Broth

I love the quieter, longer days of January - where a gentle approach feels possible and nurturing is effortless. Instead of kicking off a new year with harder requirements, I welcome ideas which will help me relax and take it easy.
To wit, almost no-cook recipes to nurture myself and my family: Plant-Powered Heirloom Tomato Tonic for sipping and Family-Friendly Heirloom Tomato Couscous for snacks or supper.
Each perfectly simple, powerfully delicious, blissfully healthy.

Plant-Powered Heirloom Tomato Tonic

Have you tried Fire Cider Tonic? Neither had I, but Martha Stewart's recipe  inspired me to fire-up our Clarified Heirloom Tomato Broth. Heirloom tomatoes make for a savory and spicy broth, perfect for sipping and powered by vitamins and antioxidants.

On the stove, warm two cups of Heirloom Tomato Broth with a cinnamon stick, a halved jalapeno, a couple of garlic cloves, and black pepper. Sip away.

Family-Friendly Heirloom Tomato Couscous

For a family-friendly fave, I've got Heirloom Tomato Couscous on repeat. It's delish on its own and fantastic as a base for roasted veg or seafood. Dinner and soul-satisfying nourishment, in an instant.
Combine 2 cups of couscous with 2 cups of boiling Heirloom Tomato Broth and 1 teaspoon of salt (or less), cover and let sit for 5-7 minutes. Top with parmesan cheese and cracked black pepper.
