A creamy heirloom tomato base with balsamic-roasted tomatoes, garlic, and shallots delivers bold flavor and versatile application. Use as a dip, sandwich spread, flatbread base, or bowl component. Make ahead for easy prep and reliable holding performance.

  • Step 1

    In a large bowl, pour liquid from Balsamic-Roasted Heirloom Tomatoes over shallots and grated garlic and let marinate.

  • Step 2

    In a  food processor fitted with a metal blade, puree the cream cheese, yogurt, shallots, garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, and Balsamic-Roasted Heirloom Tomatoes. Stir in the scallions.

  • Step 3

    Place in serving dish and top with parsley, optional. Serve with crackers, bread or vegetables.
