Homemade French Bread Pizza with Heirloom Tomato Sauce


Serves 4

Don’t stress about making pizza dough, use frozen garlic bread or leftover French baguette to make dinner in under twenty minutes. Super kid-friendly and delicious nostalgia for adults.

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven or toaster oven to 400 degrees. On a baking sheet, arrange the bread, cut side up. Toast for 5-8 minutes, or until the bread is lightly browned.

  • Step 2

    Spread the Tomato Bliss evenly over the toast. Arrange the toppings over the sauce. Top with shredded mozzarella or fontina.

  • Step 3

    Bake for about 8 minutes, or until the cheese melts and starts to bubble.

  • Step 4

    Sprinkle with pepper flakes, parmesan and/or parsley or basil, if using. Serve hot.

    Tomato Bliss
  • 1 cup
    favorite toppings (we love sausage, caramelized onions, and roasted red peppers)
  • 1 3/4 cups
    shredded cheese, such as fontina or mozzarella (6 ounces)
  • for serving (optional)
    crushed red pepper flakes, grated parmesan cheese, chopped fresh basil or parsley
